Internet Usage Policy

cityQuarters (a trading name of Leasemethod Management Ltd, herewith known as "cityQuarters") provides and manages a wired (LAN) & wireless internet service (Wi-Fi) for all guests staying with cityQuarters Serviced Apartments. While this service is free, you should recognise that each time you log on to this network, you accept the terms of this policy and it is your responsibilty to review this policy for any changes that have been made since you last logged in.

If you disagree with any terms of this policy, are unsure about compliance with the terms, or have any complaints regarding the use of this service you should contact cityQuarters prior to use, through one of the methods detailed at the end of this policy.

Use of this network is restricted only to guests staying with cityQuarters, or users with prior written permission from cityQuarters. Any other persons attempting to connect to the network are in breach of sections 125 and 126 of the Communications Act 2003, and will be liable for prosecution under such sections.

It is the policy of cityQuarters, to reasonably protect the confidentiality of users. However, users should be aware that cityQuarters or their Internet Service Provider may be required to disclose data related to the use of this service when it is served with a valid subpoena or court order.

cityQuarters accepts no responsibilty for any losses that may arise from the use of this network, including (but not limited to) infection of computer viruses, data loss/corruption or hacking attempts. It is the user's full responsibilty to ensure their device is protected from such attacks prior to connecting to the network.

Furthermore, in logging on to this network, users agree that they will not use this service to violate any applicable law, regulation or legal precedent. Thus, the use of this service for the following activities is prohibited:

• Transmitting, posting or uploading defamatory, abusive or threatening material or language.
• Violating intellectual property rights.
• Accessing, transmitting, posting or uploading material that is obscene (in accordance with established constitutional and statutory dictates) or that constitutes child pornography.
• Spamming, forging of headers, hacking or distribution of Internet viruses, worms, and other destructive activities or violations of privacy.
• Any other activities which are intended to harm or interfere with the rights of any third party.

The privilege to use this service may be withdrawn or suspended if usage is not consistent with this policy.

Users of this service, and in particular the parents or guardians of minors, should be aware that this service does not filter access to the Internet.

cityQuarters does not provide any support for this network, all device configurations are different and it is the user's responsbility to configure their devices for use on the network. The network was designed to follow industry standards to maximise compatibility and security, but it can not be guaranteed that all devices will be compatible. Users should also be aware that due to the nature of wireless networks and internet provision, there may be times where the network or internet connectivity is not available during their stay.
